Stormy and Aggressive: Farhan comes as Toofaan!

Will Toofaan hit you hard?

Toofaan- how much I have loved to watch it in a theater, on a 70m. But then you do not always get what you want. Comment below and tell me, which one was the last FILAM you watched in the theater. 

Rakesh Omprakas’s best till now, for me. Toofaan is a biographical account of an Indian Boxer, Aziz Ali. And yes, this one gave me goosebumps. I rushed around the room, jumped on the couch, hooted like a maniac, and cried like the usual me. Everything mentioned, happened not because the FILAM has THOSE catastrophic moments, but because of the simplicity the storyline showcases throughout.

If you still are not in terms with the OTT platforms, and were waiting for a relatively good screenplay from the past year and a half, Toofaan may come as a relief to you.

Nothing fancy about the plot, nothing overrated, nothing out of the world, nothing unpredictable- still you want to watch it till the end. Haan yeh, tareef hi hai!

The KAHANI  is an intertwining of a normal guy becoming a National Champion, religion, love, standing for love, losing love, and standing for the lost love. There are many aspects provided to the storyline but nothing has been blown out of proportion. As they say, just the exact amount of spices, appropriate for a Hindi FILAM lover to come in terms of the fact that ab toh  sab TV par hi dekhna hai.

Performances in a nutshell

Farhan Akhtar as Aziz Ali has delivered. He somehow always manages to be likable for me. Mrunal Thakur, provides a sweet little element, Paresh Rawal acts. Supriya Pathak has been a waste. Toofaan, might not be a storm rage, but is a much needed rain shower on the barren and dried lands of movie watchers. No matter, you love sports or no, Toofaan gives you a reason to watch a sports FILAM.

I liked it, and will succumb to a second watch, if given a chance. Tell me, if you found the review helpful??
