Metro In Dino: Movie Review

Metro In Dino: Movie Review

“Metro In Dino” by Anurag Basu was my pick in the first week of July’25. Let us review this movie. A huge ensemble of actors, and a musical drama that explores the chaos life, marriage, and relationships have to offer.

Metro In Dino: A Bit About the Story

Five stories that are interconnected, but have their individuality preserved throughout the film. You do not get bored exploring the authenticity of each one of them. The pulse rate does drop sometimes in the movie, but eventually drags you till the end. Metro In Dino is a watch if you like an emotional ride, love to cry, and are experiencing constant ups and downs in relationships.

Caution: Do not compare it with “Life In A Metro”, this may lead to disappointment.

How Musical the Musical Drama is?

The music sounded a bit loud to me, especially in the first half. It carelessly overpowers the drama in the movie. Pritam and Papon have done a fairly good job. You will miss KK! There are no ‘songs-songs’ as we call it in Hindi films, but few lyrics will stay with you even after the movie is over. But the album is not superlatively soothing to the ears.

Actors and their Acting

Again, not a masterpiece as far as the acting skills are concerned. No one is bad but none is not amazingly good too. Watching Sara Ali Khan does give an impression that she is under a lot of pressure to perform well. As a result, she falters most of the time. Aditya Roy Kapoor looks good and acts well. Fatima and Ali Fazal are ok! Neena Gupta and Anupam kher are experienced. Kokana Sen and Pankaj Tripathi are better than others. “Metro In Dino” can become your one-time watch if you like emotional dramas, (no, not the K Dramas). The film does not carry any romantic angles. It talks about the not-so-rosy part of relationships and people.
